Is it just me, or is Silverchair beginning to show shades of progressiveness. My daughter is out in the lounge room listening to a live DVD and it seems there are very progressive elements in their latest release (not so current)  diorama?

I was impressed with their debut,if only because they were so young.Freakshow wasn't bad either but I haven't heard anything after that.

TheP- you wouldn't recognise the new stuff as being the same band- gone are the heavy sabbath, soundgarden influences. I had to stop what I was doing and go see what my daughter was listening to- I thought she had discovered a new prog band. There is definitely a new maturity in their sound. My daughter tells me the boys don't listen to them anymore cause they have gone 'girlish'.

I have heard diorama , and i get really surprised for the symphonic arrangements,
but I see them more as an contemporary  "ELO".Icannot find progressive but i find symphonic.
BTW: I preffer their two first cds.
