Forget Classe electronics...
It's cold.

Nordost vahalla is good, but can't compare with top transparent cables.
BTW, i've got a Nordost digital cable, which is better than Transparent ones;(each brand has its specialty)

Here's what you need to make the BW REALLY WORKING:

A bi amp
with 2 Jolida 1000 in the highs

And 2 Goldmund in the low

Plus a great preamp:

Counterpoint sa5000

Yeah Burmester makes big digital.
But without tube's magic in the highs, it's disapointing.

Are you saying that DIGITAL cables also affect the sound?

That would be the most ridiculous comment on Audiophile systems so far.

Actually i think the trend with getting high end power cables is a bit strange...On the adverts it says that they "speed up" the power...and that sound rather ridiculous anyways the test says that it actually affects the sounds...but it is pretty strange anyhow

Yes, digital cables affect the sound.
For example, optic fiber doesn't work at all.

I've listen to a Shunyata King Cobra power cable (3000 dollars the power cable) on a big system. We just put one on the preamp and it makes "BOOOM": it's like we changed the whole system...(which was already excellent, btw)

I've never heard a really good tube amp yet. The ones i've heard are slow, coloured and lose detail. Warm and cuddly with good imaging, yes, but I prefer transistors for their neutrality, accuracy, bite and excitement. I use Audiolabs.

Strangely, I don't like CDs much either. My Pink Triangle Anniversary dredges more detail than any CD system I've heard. I auditioned a £10k Theta/Krell deck/DAC a few years ago with the intention of buying it - it was so inferior to the Pink I went home empty handed; I still don't have a CD player.

This is my system, well not my system but someone else's but the same model:-

http://www.tradera.com/auction/Stereo___HIFI/aid_16329088 - http://www.tradera.com/auction/Stereo___HIFI/aid_16329088

At the bottom of that page.

Except, mine has the Amplifier on top left, CD Player on top right, AM-FM Stereo Tuner on bottom left and Stereo Cassette Tape Deck on bottom right.

I use Mordaunt Short 'Pearl Edition' speakers that came out in 1997.

The only downside to my system is that the sound is very clean.  When I use a lot of Bass, the sound becomes very heavy so there's no real Bass Kick to the system.  For music like Opera, Classical and MOR stuff it sounds very good but for Metal and Blues, I would have preferred more resonance in the lower registers.

Bad tubes amp are coloured, slow...
But good ones are neutral, quick and so much more detailed in the highs than transistor ones...
On another hand, you're right, CD dosn't works, but the digital system you heard few years ago is not good too!
There are even little english integrated players that work better! but of course, it can't stand the comparison with such a turntable like the Pink Triangle...
