Planned to have the made-for-TV movie, Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf, but it isn't in. Also, I wasn't going to include The Monster Squad (1987) or Underworld (2003) but decided to even if they are not specifically werewolf films. I thought about including Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001), but opted not to since it doesn't have an actual werewolf (good film, though).

Multiple votes allowed.

If I were to choose just one, it would be An American Werewolf in London, which I saw "double-billed" with a ghost movie called Ghost Story (1981) on television (was too young to see such things in the theatre). I also saw The Howling at about the same time, and loved that.

I probably should have included An American Werewolf in Paris too, but other than liking Julie Delpy (of the excellent for me films Three Colours: White and Europa Europa), I honestly can barely remember it.

Probably either American Werewolf in London (1981) or Universal's Wolfman (1941), although I also liked Oliver Reed in 1961's The Curse of the Werewolf, but the best single werewolf line comes from Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein:

Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.): "I know you think it's crazy, but...in a half-an-hour the moon will rise and I'll turn into a wolf."

Costello: "Yeah, you and 20 million other guys."

I guess my top six are:

- An American Werewolf in London
- The Howling
- Wolfen
- The Curse of the Werewolf (left off the "The" in the poll)
- Ginger Snaps
- Dog Soldiers

There are a number in this poll that I haven't seen.

Great unusual film called 'Brotherhood of the Wolf'...about a beast tale from 18th century France.
