Friede and I have been offered a weird deal which we just could not resist. we are to test a certain product for a year and are to write a test report afterwards. we dare not post the details here though; it really is weird. but it is also very lucrative, and with our inclination for adventure we just could not say "no"

How mysterious. Of course you know that some of our imaginations may be running wild.

If it's something that you think the people involved with the product would not want you sharing, I wouldn't -- especially if it's not dangerous. Testing for a year I could imagine with certain pharmaceuticals and medical devices. It won't be a new and much improved version of "no!no!". If the secrecy is not due to the expectations of the people behind the product, then it could be something "naughty."

As a general rule: Be safe, tester beware, especially if it involves anything that requires insertion or consumption.

Read the forms very carefully, and if they try to tell you the effects are only temporary LAWYER UP.

Won't be anything as bad as this:

In O Lucky Man, a favourite film of mine, Malcolm McDowell's character offers to take part in medical experiments in return for money. When he realises the horror of what's going on, he makes a run for it.

If it involves blood drinking I advise you two to demand a written contract  (not digital) and get an insurance of at least 9 figures !!!!

(I've been there, I know - It's awfully  expensive to come back from the dead)

- As it happens, this is the silliest thread I've seen on this forum, thank U for the fun
