This feels like a wonky questions, TBH; how do we know factually who had more input? Seems like we're just going to be picking whom we like better, lol.

Sting.

^ Yeah, many people will vote on the basis of ‘favourite’ before reading Icarium's post. So results meaningless.

Based on the question about input, I'd say Sting on the basis that he wrote 90% of The Police's output, whereas Bruce shared with Clapton.
Based on the other question, I'd probably say Bruce.

I’d say Bruce in either case.

This.

This is essentially what I was going to originally say.

I like Stings bass sound more than Jacks, though Jack is the more articulate bassplayer , but Sting sounds better more creamy sound.

If it was just bass playing I would probably say Bruce but since its singer/ bassplayer, Sting gets the edge.

Bruce in all respects ...been a big fan of his for a long time,  but then I prefer Cream and Bruce's solo material over what Sting and the Police did.

Sting "had most imput into respective band", that's easy choice. I don't think Sting is as good on bass guitar as Bruce is, but that is not the question/poll.

It´s absolutely Jack Bruce to me. Bruce was the most important and greatest songmaker in Cream, Clapton did even less than Baker (for example in Wheels Of Fire there are not any Clapton songs). Also, in this poll there are question who´s your favourite bassplayer/singer, it´s also Bruce to me.

I guess it depends on how input is defined. But, attempting Occam’s Razor here, the answer seems more likely to be Sting. Personal preference is something entirely different, and should not come into it - but we all know how much attention people pay when it comes to voting in polls: none. That said, it does very much depend on how one interprets input, so I don’t believe everyone who has voted for Bruce has done so only because he is their preferred bass player.

“Poll Question: Whos your favourite bass player/singer[?]”

Jack Bruce is my favourite of these two, personal preference, so voting for Bruce.

Question in the first post: “Whom had most imput into respective band?”

Sting, I think.
