Treasure. My favourite Cocteau Twins album.

The Sylvan album is, IMO, one of the best albums of the 80s, but I had to vote for Velvet Lou just for the novelty of seeing his name on PA.....that and I think it is right up there as best of the decade.

Brutal...so many I dig.
For Cocteau...I'm more of a Head Over Heels fan.
Closer's last 4 songs are ACE, but side 1 isn't at that level.
Tender Prey or Prayers on Fire...ouch, tough...they kinda cancel each other out...but still...that last "CRYYY!!!!"
Love Murmur...but maybe a little safe compare to some of these others?
Mammoth Creepfests Pornography and WTROADS are awesome when in the mood...
Unlike many, I find Vs. not as engaging as Mission of Burma's other early stuff for some reason. Great band though...

Damnit, I'm going with Zen Arcade...just too much awesomeness in that beast (yeah a couple of clunkers but it's a double album damnit!). Side 2 has that spate of angry speedsters and side 3 is some kind of next level perfection. It wins.

More than any other albums of the 1980s, Cocteau Twins' Treasure and David Sylvian's Brilliant Trees injected a whole new hope for music into my life. Still blown away by those two albums to this day. They speak to me as such a deep level.

Murmur is an amazing album, so it gets my vote. It doesn't get much more beautiful than "Perfect Circle".

I voted for Kate Bush, but the David Sylvian album is so good that I really had to consider it for a while before I finally cast my vote.

-------------
DIGNITAS - FIRMITAS - GRAVITAS - COMITAS - LIBERTAS

Kind of strange not seeing the Pixies listed. From the list, Murmur.

He did mention Pixies in his "part 1" poll with "Doolittle".

I will vote for Hounds of Love over Within the Realm of a Dying Sun.

A tough choice between three favourites: Kate Bush; Dead Can Dance: or Roxy Music
