Well we consider ourselves a progressive rock group, although its more along the lines of Space Prog/Post Rock/Ambient Funk.

But unfortunatly we are not in the Archives...does this mean that we are not a progressive rock group???  Does this mean that we may actually be a powerpop group?  We try to make our music apealing to the 13 year old omfg I <3 Justin Timberlake group(which is why we all look so goddamn hot in our press photos).

I guess we really arent prog(since we arent included in the archives).

Sorry this thread is completely pointless.  I only made it to show that just because you arent in the Archives doesnt mean you arent a prog rock act.  Im sorry but that has got to be the most pretentious rule ive ever heard of on an internet forum.

Exactly...which is why i think it is a stupid rule to not include highly progressive bands in the prog rock discusion part of the forum just because they are not listed in the archives.

I really hate to sound like a twat posting this thread...it may be to the high number of beers in me righ tnow but come on.

I like to consider my band a progressive rock group.  I enjoy posting on this forum(as it is the best resource for prog bands ive ever come across).  But it gives me a wierd feeling when this forum wont consider my band a prog group just because we arent listed on the archives.

Same thing goes with a few other bands ive made threads for here.

I mean Hella makes goddamn math rock/nintendo music.  How much more prog is that???!!!???

Mathematics are very proggy . Now seriously, Math Rock belongs to Experimental/Post-rock, which belongs to prog.

Plenty of experimental is nothing to do with prog.
