what a legend. What a time it was to be a physics/astronomy undergrad student in the late 80's when his book hit like a bombshell.. required reading. However his impact goes even further.. was talking with my little bro' today who I have nearly 2 decades on.. and never finished high school...and even he was fully aware of the scope and magnitude of Hawking as well as the life he lived. we will likely never see.. nor our children.. perhaps even their children.. ever see a pure scientist made such inroads into our day to day lives not from a practical standpoint.. for yes that might happen.. bot from a purely intelletual one. RIP Stephen.. I didn't want to become a astrophysicist because of you..
