Hi,

My name is Peter Orullian. I'm a prog musician. I trained for several years with vocal instructor David Kyle, who taught Geoff Tate, Ann Wilson, Layne Staley, and others. And I've been in several bands, some more straight metal, that have toured in Europe--Heir Apparent, Fifth Angel.

My favorite band is probably Dream Theater. I got the chance recently to collaborate with John Petrucci and novelize a DT album, as I'm a published writer with Tor Books.

I love the genre, and recently put out my own record (it's a Christmas album) maybe more in the vein of TSO. It's entitled Father, Christmas. My band is Symphony North: www.symphonynorth.com

I'm looking forward to sharing and learning more here.

Cheers,
Peter

Btw, are you the male vocalist in your album? Quite a nice job if so.

Welcome to the site and greetings from Scotland.
I'm familiar with Heir Apparent & Fifth Angel but have not heard Symphony North so will have to check them out.

Thanks! Good to meet you. The Prog Archives site had initial feedback that they don't think Symphony North may be prog enough.

Would love your thoughts.

I have an old Fifth Angel tape somewhere... cracking power/speed. Heir Apparent of course are legends, which periods did you take part in these bands Peter?

Re Symphony North I now see you are on Spotify - full samples are always better for evaluation.
