Hi folks, wonder if anyone's used a Bose L1 "stick" PA system. If so, any good ?

There are a few *cheaper* stick PA alternatives and I think I might be looking into them as well. Basically, it's going to be two of these for a small venue.

1600 watts RMS of power, should be enough to encourage brown noting in the audience. ;-)

I'd rather go for something portable and easy to set up. Hiatus hernias are a risk at my advanced age.

My brother recently got one of the Bose systems. Not sure if it's the exact same model but basically a tall skinny speaker array with a separate sub woofer. We used it at a small outdoor gig. Sounded great and it travels easy.  Check the online reviews to get some more feedback on it. -no pun intended : )
