   Blue Öyster Cult was the first heavy rock to record a fine

        progressive rock album Secret Treaties in 1974.

       It is a masterpiece, mystical dark emotional and rocking.

       They should have followed that progression since althought

       they had few progressive songs on their following records.

why do we have 2 threads on the BOC on the go at the mo?

I love 'Astronomy', though I've not heard all of this album....I quite enjoyed 'Imaginos' a few years ago...quite original, but haven't heard anything more of theres since then...

I can recommend you to listen to the 2001 Columbia remastered edition of Secret Treaties.

What a great album from Blue Oyster Cult!!!!
