Welcome!
I am the lead guitarist in a local jam band called "Mourning Star", that considers ourselves progressive and psychedelic. We would like to get feedback from real prog listeners to tell us how we sound and what we could do to improve our sound/make ourselves more progressive.

I haven't listened, but is "sounding progressive" really something worth shooting for?  Shouldn't you play what you want, and if it ends up being what many people consider "progressive" then great.  And if not, but its what you want, then that's OK as well.

I agree with infocat, tThere is no need to follow other peoples suggestions, just do what you like. Get own inspiration. Probably what could be more in focus is own songs (no one gets immortal by covers) and better recording.

Sorry to say, gents... on Foxy Lady.... the trick is to all play to the same beat.
