There weren't enough prog albums from 1957 or 2017 to choose from.

I voted for the Art Zoyd per usual, but I was very tempted to go with the Pink Floyd. Following that would be the Koenjihayakkei.

When I saw the poll I wondered if Art Zoyd would be there for Haxan in 1997 or Berlin in 1987. Either way, I came in looking for Art Zoyd.

I almost killed myself trying to choose between Devin Townsend and Voivod, that was so hard for me. They both mean the world to me (in metal)

bbbuuuuttttt, I chose Ziltoid because because I overall prefer Dimension Hatross and Nothingface in Voivod's discography Big smile

yeah... can't beat that.. though a lot of love for the Symph X album... few prog metal albums as good as that one.. none better.

ehhh.. giving it a vote for the heck of it. The Moodies should own this one.. and even if they don't...  oh well

I give the edge to Kansas just over Pink Floyd and Eloy.

The classics will always win such a contest!  Back in 97, I would have voted for Stereolab's Dots and Loops...

Syd's masterpiece has a bit of all the others (except the Moodies, maybe)

In this poll I pick up Kansas "Point Of Know Return" , follow by Eloy "Ocean" and The Moody Blues "Days Of Future Passed" but, in the year of 1977 my top albums are Yes "Going for the One", Rush  "A Farewell to Kings" and M Effekt "Svitanie" !

Definitely need to pull Piper into the lead here; Floyd losing to The Moody Blues would be nearly as embarrassing as the time From Genesis To Revelation beat Trout Mask Replica.

I went with Eloy. Ocean was one of their best.

Days Of Future Passed... the first... the best... (ha, ha, just stirring...) and while the spoken word bits for me, do not stand the test of time it is a sublime listen.

Second choice would be Syd's Floyd album.

Tough. I voted for Kansas, but it's really a tie between Kansas and Eloy!

It seems pretty transparent that this is one of those polls where the outcome is unwittingly skewed in favour of the relatively less obscure (older) choices?

I voted for Ocean. The most significant album is Piper, but as far as what gives me more listening pleasure, that would definitely be Eloy - Ocean.

I went with The Moody Blues, because I didn’t really care much for the other selections. A lot of people love Pink Floyd when Syd Barrett was a member, but I never could get into them until Meddle.

Well, I might not go quite that far ... but it's the first of the virtually perfect arc of 7 albums from Justin Hayward and friends: 50 years old this year! (Ouch!)  That's pretty much Prog perfection in my book ...
