They are breaking the pattern somewhat here with this third batch of reissues in the series. The previous two batches contained two studio albums and one live album each.

First batch: self-titled debut, Tarkus, and Pictures At An Exhibition.
Second batch: Trilogy, Brain Salad Surgery, and Welcome Back My Friends.

In this third batch we get three studio albums in Works vol. 1, Works vol. 2, and Love Beach with the whole of Works Live included as bonus tracks on Works 2. Also, Love Beach will be a single CD while all the others in the series have been double CD sets.

Personally, I appreciated very much that in the case of the self-titled debut, Tarkus, Trilogy, and Brain Salad Surgery, they put the original album on the first disc of each double disc set with no bonus tracks and all the bonus material on the second disc. I am a bit disappointed that they don't follow that here. Still, I will certainly buy these new issues.

I predict that later this year we will get Black Moon, In The Hot Seat, and Live At The Royal Albert Hall.

I think we'll get Emerson,Lake & Powell double CD at least one day.

How can you have new band interviews when two of the members are dead?

Good question. Probably not *that* new, but still new.

Who reads these things anyway? Personally, I prefer to have song lyrics and detailed track information and no essays by music journalists.

What would make these really worth getting is if they included some of the demo stuff that Emo and Lake were supposedly working on before their two man Manitcore Hall reminiscing tour. Now that is something I wonder if we'll ever see / hear

Why a reissue of Love Beach?

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

They are reissuing the whole back catalogue of the band, why would Love Beach be excluded?

Personally, I am glad to be able to have the complete discography of the band in the same editions.

Ok, I like Magma's "Merci" so probably I'm the less entitled to criticize Big smile
