I wouldn't say I believe in detailed, long horoscopes. I believe in short descriptions of basic features of every zodiacal sign. To be correct, I believe that mostly, very often these features, these descriptions are true. I am Gemini. You can feel it in my texts here ![Tongue Tongue](smileys/smiley17.gif) . I know that Pisces women are mostly tender, small, have purry voices. I know it from my life experience.

I remember my old French teacher during a little pow-wow outside the class (read: slap over the wrist) asking me if I was a taurus - completely out of the blue She'd noticed the way I sit on chairs and my general goofy nature and was adamant in her belief that it was all down to my sign. I laughed out loud - like in literally breaking down like a deranged circus clown. Was she really being serious? Oh yes she was. Funny how some presumerably clever people actually believe this nonsense. 'You feeling ok?' 'Nahh my ascendant star sign is clouded by extraterrestrial solar winds that tickle the aura of my non-existent space being' 'Oh...how can you tell?' 'It's a burning sensation under my left big toe. It's obvious really.'

The other amusing thing, aside from the Earth's procession in the 3000 years since the Babylonians first observed the sun-rise being coincident with specific star-patterns in the sky at different times of the year as we orbit it shifting our view of those stars relative the sun and the notion that the 10 million+ people born within a few weeks of each other each year will share the same fortune as not only each other but with every other bugger born at the same time of the year each and every year, is that the stars in each zodiac constellation aren't related to each other in any way whatsoever, they aren't even the same distance from our solar system so if we could view them from different vantage point each star would be in a different spacial position so would describe a completely different shape, which makes the zodiac constellations as meaningful as plate of spaghetti bolognese.

No to mention the flimsy concept of time that this particular pseudo science relies on. Well we invented that sucker in order to hang our hats on something tangible...but in the end it ended up muddying the concept even further (mostly because we want easy answers and patterns that tend to stay the same).

I actually am quite a believer, but only of the general characteristics of the zodiac signs. I do not at all believe it has anything to do with the star constellations though. But the hormonal state of the human body changes during the year (and to a lesser amount during the day), and I believe an embryo in the mother's womb can be influenced by that, and this influence partially accounts for the differences in people of the different zodiac signs. I myself am definitely an Aquarius.

| At least there's some explanation to that. I still don't believe it but it's more reasonable.

Last night, I listened to this podcast called "Welcome to Nightvale". The whole thing is fake news from a desert ghost town called Nightvale. They read the horoscope (I'm a Leo) and said Leo: I probably shouldn't read you this...tell your family you love them"
