very sad to hear. I especially like the legendary album "Trilogue", recorded live in Berlin in 1976. a collaboration of three absolute jazz greats - Albert Mangelsdorff on trombone, Alphonse Mouzon on drums and Jaco Pastorius on bass. here a link to the legendary concert:

RIP

Never heard any of his solo albums, just the one he did with Weather Report. Will have to rectify that someday.
