Hi. I am about to bite the bullet and subscribe to a music streaming service. I like mostly prog of all sub-genres however my wife is more into pop and folk-pop. I imagine that any service will give you a decent amount of my wife's music but which is the best for prog?

Hello there. Many choices these days, however as my good chap, Steve (Lazland) pointed out...Spotify is great mainly due it's database wise; however, if you are a man who treats his audio more sensitively maybe Tidal audio would be a good option for you. That site allows you some option to stream in MQA, where as Spotify will only offer up a 320kps streaming service max.
It all depends really on what equipment you use audio wise. The more sensitive and analytical gear will need top file transport to enjoy nicely.

Thanks to all. I have decided to try Spotify for $.99 for 3 months on a trial. In my current setup it makes sense since it will not be for critical listening but rather ambient music. Once I set up my media room with treatments I might try Tidal. Thanks for your recommendations.
