But, there is a twist (of course), Aliens have landed and found the Earth amusing, particularly Prog Music and they have become fans of PA (yes there are amoung us if you hadn't worked that out) and a PA Poll will decide the fate of Prog Rock history....... But, they now plan to leave the Earth- scared that Donald might win or something... and they have decided with to use their time travel machine to go back and claim 2 of the three great Prog Groups for their own civilization changing history - because they like to do that... But, if you chose Yes or Genesis to remain in history to have existed in your selection- they will shorten the lifespan of the selected Prog Group by half but if you chose Moody Blues all there works will remain- that's only fair- so said the Aliens. So time to choose.............. and do it wisely.....  ------------- "Everyone is born with genius, but most people only keep it a few minutes" and I need the knits, the double knits! |

Choosing Yes or Genesis will shorten the band's lifespan by half, you say? Well, for Genesis that either means they release 7 (or 8) out of 15 studio albums, which would leave us with FGTR through to ATTOT. Alternatively, if you're referring to their lifespan being cut in half time-wise, Genesis would still have lasted well into the 80's. For Yes, that means 9 or 10 out of 19 studio albums get released, which is actually perfect, really, because that ends right around Drama, which I'm sure many will agree as the end of the prime. Or, for a chronological shortening, they would still last until '92, so even the 80's Yes fans would be appeased. So I would have no problem at all with keeping Yes and sending Genesis and the Moodies off into space. ------------- when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents |

So by voting for the Moodies, I just jettisoned half of Genesis and Yes, and kept all the Moodies releases? I can live with that, I guess. | Was a time a very clear winner with Genesis. I had to give serious thought to Yes though, complex yet warm in a much different way. An album like Close to the Edge comes only once in a lifetime, and I'd surely miss it. The early albums by Genesis will never leave my heart however. Still and always Genesis. |

Scores are close, Genesis has clawed their way back but not so good for the Moody Blues and Yes are getting the space jitters. Pretty ironic how that turned out, because I feel like out of all three bands, the guys in Yes would most likely want to hang out with aliens. They'd probably be psyched for a trip to another planet; with Jon spreading his spirituality with all the higher dimensional beings and whatnot, while the boys in the band jammed out to Starship Trooper. The Moody blues seem to be lagging badly so the Aliens have offer to take Trumo with them if we vote to keep the Moodies- plus they think Donald will fit in well outthere with them.
