Subject: Learn to play some prog on guitar/bass

Ever wanted to learn to play guitar and/or bass, or if you already know how, to play certain songs? A couple years ago I bought a "video game" called Rocksmith, 2014 Edition. You plug in a real electric guitar or bass and use the game to learn guitar/bass and play along with, as of now, around 900 songs. Each week some downloadable content (DLC) is released of generally three to five songs. These are the actual studio versions released by the artists.
A few weeks ago the "Rush Song Pack II" was released, giving Rush a tie (with Jimi Hendrix!) for the most songs in the game at 12. This coming week is a Dream Theater 3-pack (but 26+ minutes total!), so I thought it was time to give the game a plug on this site. While the prog content is fairly low, there are still a lot of good songs.
Also, they are releasing a "remastered" version of the game in October ( http://rocksmith.ubi.com/rocksmith/en-us/remastered/index.aspx" rel="nofollow - http://rocksmith.ubi.com/rocksmith/en-us/remastered/index.aspx ). It's not a new game, but its a retail "re-release" with some enhancements to the 2014 version. If you don't already own the game (if you do you get "Remastered" as a free "patch") you will be able to buy this updated version and also get six new DLC songs for free. No prog here, but they are:
“Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley & The Wailers “Hey Ya!” by Outkast “Drops of Jupiter” by Train “Suspicious Minds” by Elvis Presley “Some Nights” by fun. “I Want You Back” by The Jackson 5
I have no connection with the game other than being a fan of it.
Below are all of the prog and "related" songs in the game (assuming I didn't miss any).

Unfortunately, that doesn't teach you how to play an instrument.
It teaches you how to copy things.

There should be a free game like this that would use some kind of tabs instead of a proprietary file format.

No stuff from Fred Frith or Sonic Youth? What a shame!

They have a place to request songs. What would you suggest? (Don't know how likely Fred Frith would be, but I am quite sure Sonic Youth has been requested.)
