If you're a Tull fan, yes it is. It's got some great songs, and some of Martin Barre's best guitar work to date. In a way it might have been the last great Tull album. Stormwatch is one of Tull's most overlooked albums IMO. It can be seen as a continuation of Songs From The Wood/Heavy Horses as there's a lot of acoustic instrumentation to the forefront, though the folk influences are less obvious on most of the somgs. The album does have rather a sombre feel because Tull bassist John Glasscock died during the recordings, and Ian Anderson added the bass parts to about two thirds of the tracks. Perhaps that's why it's a bit less popular, but it's still a prime slice of vintage Tull. ------------- 'Like so many of you I've got my doubts about how much to contribute to the already rich among us...'
