If it ain't broke why fix it?
Never saw the brilliance in electric toothbrushes, but then again I have total power over my right arm, which effectively means that it's perfectly feasible to clean my chompers properly

"SonicCare"  mostly as my dentist thinks it's awesome.  Sometimes I use a regular as well.  Daily floss.  Hoping to keep what I have, crowns are expensive.

A regular toothbrush, and a soft pick to get any parts I missed.

Brushing is a waste of time. I use anti-plague bejewling techniques. Keeps my dating expenses down as well

Why is there no option for rinsing with coconut oil or chewing one of those African sticks?

Only when you mix with crushed-lime........say goodbye to your teeth. I visited Solomon Is. several times for diving holidays and know the Betel-Nut etiquette well. I still treasure my teeth !!

I rinse my teeth with white vinegar, the same trick that I use to keep my kitchen clean - and it works! Big smile

So unprogressive. Disapprove Thumbs Down
Couldn't you, at least, brush your teeth on a non-binary rhythm?

A new study was just released that said flossing has no real value to cavity prevention or gum disease.  I know my dentist is going to call bullsh*t on that one, I can hear him in my head right now.  He's a flossing nazi.  I will stick with the daily flossing despite the new research because I have to believe its better to get food particles out of your mouth rather than have them sitting in there all night between your teeth.

Flossing is unnecessary when you've lost every other tooth

Good point.  I suppose it would be of no benefit then.  Still have mine although I have several of those crowns.  Amazing technology on those now, they can laser measure and produce the crown in one visit.  You walk out in 90 mins with a new tooth, no more mold casts and multiple visits.

Interesting poll, I would have thought more electric choices.

I use the Sonicare Flexcare Plus with UV light sanitizer.....I know, sounds like it has a 4 barrel Hemi in it LOL
....and flossing too.

Use the regular ol brush when I travel.

I had heard something about that research and I'm sure my dentsit would agree with yours.

Like you, I continue to do it at night to remove food particles. Seems to make sense to me, especially if youve been eating sugary food.

Tongue scraping is another technique I could have noted.

I remember the first time I saw it as a kid.  My best friend at the time was an Indian boy whose entire family had tongue scrapers and they did it a lot throughout the day.  This was something I"d never seen before.  Now I am seeing articles about it and I think it is more common in the States but  not as much as in some countries.

Anyone here a scraper?

I can't do it, freaks me out LOL.  I will brush the tongue lightly however.
