HI! I'm now being introduced in prog rock. Ive heard : Spock's Beard,Transatlantic, Genesis, King Crimson, Rush, The Tangent, Pink Floyd and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. I've recently catched Camel's Snow Goose that I think are similar to Mike Oldfield. And that's a band like I was searching for. I've never found something better than MO (for me, ofcourse). I like a lot In the court of The crimson king and the tangent, or Transatlantic, and now ive found a band that has some simillar things to MO. I wish someone could recommend me some other groups that are simillar...thanks I know ive not heard a lot of prog masterpieces...i'll in time...like Yes, or others. If you like Pink Floyd, you would probably enjoy Porcupine Tree, Yes, IQ, and Rush. You should also try The Mars Volta and Eloy. Heh, I can't really think of bands similar to Mike Oldfield. His music is so unique and original. |
