Phish's independently released debut is perhaps the most favored album in the band's discography among the prog community. It was a success springboard for Phish and it the fans that it garnered eventually turned into a massive following. What are your guys' thoughts on it?

EDIT: I posted this in the wrong topic before so I'm moving it here.

I got the cassette after seeing them live in 1990 at Clark University and loved it! I think the prog elements are very strong and what really drew me to them. I loved the fact they would play intricate fugue-like compositions that segued into crazy improvisation - "You Enjoy Myself" epitomizes this approach in my mind.

Saw them many times over the next 3-4 years, but by '95 didn't really like them nearly as much. Started seeing them again around 2010 and have gotten back into them - they still play stuff from throughout their career.
