Sucks that you can only vote for one at a time.
I guess simply listing them would be easier, but still kind of a PITA.
Good amount of suggestions so far.
I don't know any by title but will definitely check them out.

a nasty venereal disease on those who vote for the Rolling Stones version...

I really enjoy "Ain't Talkin 'bout Love", "It Ain't Like That", and "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution".

it's not a Three Dog Night song as far as I know, Trevor Bolder wrote it.

Actually, Ron Davies wrote it and it was covered by several people, including 3 Dog Night and Bowie. I just think the Bowie version is the best.

Ah, I suspected as much, 3 Dog Night were pretty much a covers band anyway.
Curious factette about the Bowie version: his pre-Angie ex-Girlfriend Dana Gillespie sang backing vocals on that. On her 1969 album 'Box of Surprises' there is a track called "For David, The Next Day" - probably completely co-incidental but who knows.

Kudos! That is one obscure factette, Dean.

And speaking of covers (and factettes ), many songs supplied in the poll are covers from other composers or performers. Just off the top of my head I know "Ain't Superstitious" was written by Willie Dixon and first performed by the wonderful Howlin' Wolf, "Ain't Misbehavin'" is a Fats Waller tune, and "I Ain't Got You" was done by Jimmy Reed and a later great cover was done by The Yardbirds.

I like both very much.
I think the Stones version is quite different and therefore deserving of its own spot in the poll.
To the poster who suggested Ain't no Sunshine. That is undoubtedly a GREAT song. I have it on the "Sunshine" disc, because this one already had so many great tunes, whereas the Sunshine disc was a bit weaker.
I try to not reuse songs from theme to theme if at all possible.
