Never liked Talking Heads even if I respect them. Byrne is quite a genius, the fact that I don't like them is just a queston of personal tastes. Of course my vote goes to Discipline.

I don't like either of these much more than a bit. Yet I vote for Remain in Light here. The Talking Heads didn't do any better as far as I know, and King Crimson didn't do any worse.

No vote.
I accept that David Byrne and Robert Fripp both border on genius, but I simply don't like the music they produce at all.

Remain in Light 'cos there are no weak moments on this album. Discipline's closer track is a bit of letdown for an album like that.

^this......on most days KC is my favorite prog band and I never really cared for Byrne's voice though he is certainly a talented musician.

I have to go with King Crimson on this one, even though Discipline is not on my top list of KC albums.

Voting likewise. Also, RIL grooves a lot more. Also wittier lyrics. That BBC docu on Reagan which plays Once in a Lifetime is classic.

Love both albums but I am jumping on the Remain In Light bandwagon. It is satisfying both intellectually and emotionally, while Discipline hits mostly on the intellectual level. Tough decision, good poll.

Can't say enough about how I found Discipline a little cold. Remain in Light has a lot more colors in it as well as an additional guitarist by the name of Belew, for what that's worth. Oh, and one last thing - it was produced by Eno when he mattered.

Well, one album and band is considered "prog" while the other is not considered to be one. One is a darling on this site. The other I don't hear too much about. Who do you think will win? 😂😂😂

Remain in Light is probably TH's best album, though not perfect, KC's Discipline is not one of their best so RIL wins. I love the Jon Hassell bit! All IMHO.

Ten years ago I would have voted for KC but now I realize the genius of Talking Heads/Eno.
