Im really into Porcupine Tree especially Stupid Dream - Deadwing. Could anyone recommend me any music similar to the "newer" Porcupine Tree. Thanks!

That's difficult. I cannot think of any current band playing similar music to Deadwing.

Not only Deadwing. Stupid Dream, Lightbulb Sun, In Absentia... I know they're all different, but I enjoy those particular albums the most out of the PT discography.

My recommendation to you: Go to http://www.last.fm - http://www.last.fm , install their radio player, and configure it to play similar music:
http://www.last.fm/radio/ - http://www.last.fm/radio/
Just enter some artist names in the text area ... it will create a radio station which plays similar music. by telling the player which of the recommended tracks you like or dislike, it will learn your preferences ... it works quite nice for me.

Dredg is fairly similar...crunchy guitars with lots of effects, passionate
vocals and lyrics. Good drummer. Pretty good stuff. They're in the
archives.
El Cielo is the best album. The new album, Catch Without Arms, is
commercial to a fault. Not bad, but a bit disappointing.
Paatos is a bit like a PT-ish band with a female singer. WIlson's worked
with them. I like them a lot. Also in the archives.

That's amazing ... it's one of the bands which http://www.last.fm - www.last.fm shows as being similar to Porcupine Tree.

RPWL's Trying to Kiss the Sun reminds me of a more electric Lightbulb
Sun, with its gorgeous melodies and songs about relationships.

Try Pineapple Thief; although I've not heard their new album, 10 Stories Down, its meant to be a cross between PF & PT, and has been generally very well received.

Oceansize is basically Porcupine Tree mixed with Mogwai. If you like Oceansize I would also suggest looking into Amplifier.
Riverside is like Porcupine Tree with more metal elements ala Opeth
The aforemention Dredg, RPWL and Paatos are good also. Although for RPWL I'd reccomend World Through My Eyes over Trying to Kiss the Sun
If you don't mind more poppy music I would reccomend Blackfield and Kino. Both have members of PT in them

Yes, that's true, when I've bought PT 'In absentia', I bought also 'Gravity' from 'Anekdoten'. At this time, I knew more PT than 'Anekdoten' and after one earing, there was no doubt that prefer gravity to In abstensia. But, we have different taste.

You might also want to try Opeth's Damnation album. It sounds quite similar to some Porcupine Tree material (well, Steven Wilson did produce and contribute some to it).

One band that I recently discovered is Karma Pilot - their stuff is similar to some PT and also PF.
Their web site is http://www.karmapilot.co.uk - www.karmapilot.co.uk - but you need to go a bit of investigating to get MP3s - there are loads of free mp3 of this band somewhere...
cheers
