With, um, guitar, I suppose you mean? I can play it already on bass, the tabs I got are fairly easy to understand.

If you mean guitar, can't help you really. Do you usually read tabs, or prefer musical notation? Search around for a songbook if you prefer the latter (or the former, for that matter). Just do some shopping. Otherwise, look for better tabs or just deal with what you have and you might eventually get it.

I've played it. It's tough. It's the triplets that are the hardest to master, that (duh, duh, duh), (duh, duh, duh) - daa, daa, daa - (duh, duh, duh), (duh, duh, duh) - doo, doo, doo..........

Basically it's bluesish.

Can't remember off hand but if in A, you start on 5th fret low E string, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th fret on A string and 5th, 6th and 7th fret on D string. Start with those and you'll hear it. At least, I was trained classically by ear, I'm now a bassist so I just hear it and play it.

It's not that difficult of a song, it's the speed at which they're playing it that's the hardest. On bass at least it's alot of walking, so that's easy. You can improvise in the key.

Good luck!!!

Does anyone know where you can get full musical notation of "Schizoid Man" for a full jazz band? (drums, bass, guitar, horns, trombones, saxes, keys?) I'm thinking about presenting the idea to my band director...   (okay, maybe not horns and trombones and keys, seeing as they aren't present in the actual song). Any help = appreciated.

By the way: The solo, you won't get it. Ever. Don't try to. You will cry, you will scream, you will pull at your hair, but you will not get it.

I can get you one but it'll take a while. When I was at college my music tech teacher did a quick arrangement inc. saxes, trombone and trumpet from a MIDI but I'm not going to be in contact for a while so it may be a month or two before I could get hold of it.

I had to learn it by ear, so i don't know where to get tabs or music transcriptions... Or do what Fripp would do, improvise!

Penguindf12,
If you didn't know earlier try here: www.mysongbook.com. The songs may contain some little mistakes though(naturally). Oh.. and you need guitar pro but it's shouldn't difficult to find it with some peer2peer program. This is the best tab site on the web that i know.
