Here's the link to the new Coheed and Cambria music video for their killer new song "Welcome Home" off their upcoming album. It has been shortened slightly to about 4 and a half minutes, still quite long for music video standards. If this clip doens't get you excited for their upcoming CD, i don't know what will!

Just click on the "Media" tab at the website and simply load the video in your player of choice!

That is freaking AWESOME...  I LOVE that 2-neck SG that Claudio's playing.

The solo is cool  But Claudio's voice kills it for me.

The voice is tough, i understand, though through the pain I have come to accept and even revel in his amazing vocal range. And yes, Man Overboard, i would KILL to have that guitar as my own, that double-necked baby is Sa-WEEEEEEET!

Seriously, wailing in that range while playing the two-necked guitar is SCREAMING "Y HELO THAR!  MY NAME R CLAUDIO AND I R PROG!!1!11!1"

God, I can't TELL you how excited I am about how big this band is getting.  The only downside is, I honestly believe their popularity is the ONLY thing keeping them from the Archives.

BUT.

They've releasing these high-concept albums with huge, long titles, 35-minute epic tracks and stuff...  they've got a 5-minute video on the air that's got fantasy/sci-fi imagery, a dude with long hair playing solos on a 2-neck guitar in all seriousness, KEYBOARDS in the music (though there's not keyboard player in the video ...  guitar synth maybe?), and I can't be the only one who thinks the little floating TV against the backdrop is remniscent of Awake.

It DOES remind me of awake! And that ain't no keyboard player...they used an orchestra on the CD (I kid you not!) I too am a little wary about their gaining popularity. While they absolutely deserve it, I do like the elite feeling you get by being one of the only people in your school who "gets" their kind of music (though there is a group of emo kids I know that quite like Coheed...not as much as me i'm sure, though ... most people I know just can't stand...BUM BUM BUM.... THE VOICE)

No, I just found an opportunity to post an image related to m favorite comedy series.

Actually, I like the sample songs available on the Coheed & Cambria website. I'm not too excited about them (they're not a priority for me), but I wouldn't oppose their addition. They're not as far away from TMV as some people think. Actually, I think that they're better musicians. But I'd have to listen to an entire album to decide if they're as good or better than TMV.

It's six minutes on the album....you can listen to the full length on their ecard:
http://www.burningstariv.com - http://www.burningstariv.com

Video's pretty cool...I'm guessing the normal-looking kid is 'The Writing Writer,' Samson, the girl is Erica Court, and weird-looking guy is Samson's 'story-self,' Claudio,  as The Crowing (since it shows the crow eye and such), and the girl is the 'story-self' of Erica Court, Newo.

I think I'm looking forward to the graphic novel as much (or more) as the CD.

EDIT:

 MikeEnRegalia:

You should download the whole "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" album. It's really good.
