I have to say The Addams Family by far probably because they had better characters and better writing. John Astin did a great job as Gomez who was the stand out character. The only thing cool about The Munsters was the family car built by the same company that made the Batmobile.

I like the Addams Family, but I love the Munsters! So my vote went to the Munsters. My favorite character on the show is Grandpa. My favorite episode is the one with Zombo in it. He was the TV character that Eddie was a fan of and Herman was jealous of. Another favorite was when Herman had insomnia and Grandpa gave him some medicine to help him sleep. That night some frat guys come in thinking Herman was a dummy and they decide to steal him and put him in the girls dorm room closet! |

It is a tough choice as I enjoyed both. I'm going to add to the Addams pile on though. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Watched both when I was in 8th grade and later......I think Addams Family was a bit more clever in a darker way, but The Munsters had more slapstick type laughs. ------------- One does nothing yet nothing is left undone. Haquin |

The Addams Family was delightfully twisted. Lurch and Uncle Fester were my favorites.
