Archive - Restriction, arguably the finest band of the 21st century released their 10th studio album today.

Anyone got this yet?

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Some of their best work in years. Thumbs Up

Getting some good reviews, the album opener is bizarre, using a surf rock riff as the chorus! End of our days is probably my stand out track at the moment due to the outstanding vocal harmonies.

Most reviewers state that the music is still too challenging for UK listeners though.
So for now Archive remain my hidden gem.

I didn't expect to, but I really enjoyed Controlling Crowds from 2009. Very intriguing mixture of electronica, rock, IDM, trip hop and a dash of Prog to boot. One of the very few truly innovative bands I've heard in a real long while.

I know only "You All Look The Same", cause it's very popular in poland ("again" is always at 2-3 place of radio's all time top). Is it good to jump from this to newest, or should I check the rest first?

Their first two albums are well produced but are more pop than prog so best left til last.

I'd start at 'You all look the same' and then listen to their albums chronologically to see how they evolved. TBH their "sound" hasn't deviated much. It remained quite electric, dark and repetitive with the odd burst of passion.
