I'm curious and I haven't seen this topic so forgive me if it's been done.

I like Sinfield, and no doubt I expect his name to be dropped in this thread more frequently than Fripp can hit notes, but I also want to shine some light on some lyricists that deserve to be shined on.

Thoughts?

I also like Graeme Edge's poetry in The Moody Blues, Jon Anderson's use of nonsense and no-nonsense (Relayer), Ian Anderson is also highly rated in my book, Peter Hammill just punches my soul

Oh yeah and Christian Zander

Kevin Moore has always been a personal favorite. His lyrics when he was a member of Dream Theater and then when he was writing as Chroma Key are absolutely amazing.

I always thought Fish was very underrated, but glad to see other people like him. All 3 Peter's are excellent.

That just about sums it up for sure. Though at times, I thought Fish could be more 'thoughtful', but mostly he's great.
Another lyricist that I find amazing, is Bruce Cockburn. The guy is just outstanding, whatever he does.....There should be more appreciation for him.....
