Do any of you listen to music when going to sleep, and if so, what?

Simon and Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills and Nash are my personal favorites to listen to while sleeping.  A lot of Zeppelin, Beatles, Hendrix, Floyd, and Yes are fun to listen to, Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull is also great.  I've got mixes with everything from the Guess Who to George Harrison that I like to listen to as well.

Excuse me if this thread's already been made before.

Brian Enos ambient stuff (e.g. Apollo) is good for that, but I pretty much can listen to anything while or before going to sleep

we go to sleep with pretty much anything, though heavy rock is not exactly the best recommendation. some early Kraut, like Ash Ra Tempel, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze or the Cosmic Jokers are ideal. our favorite one is "Epsilon in Malaysian Pale" by Edgar Froese

The band Antarctica are great for sleeping.  beats with indie rock; very atmospheric.  Mozart is great too.

Blimey - can you sleep through Paranoid?

Dark Side Of The Moon usually makes me drop off about half way through.

Klaus Schonning - Locrian Arabesque, the
Scandinavians are the best at this!
Ragnarok - debut, Grovjobb - Vaternas fest, the
Mermen - Amazing California Health and Happiness
Roadshow, Michael Brook - Cobalt Blue,
Klaus Schulze - Moondawn, Cluster - Soweisoso,
Robert Wyatt - Shleep, Quaterna Requiem - Velha
Gravura are a few others!
Great stuff!
may want to check out Pekka Pohjola or
some of the symphonic classics from Italy.
Dont forget The Enid but be sure you are ready for
sleep, awake you may be bored to sleep!

right, I don't think there is a better suggestion than ENO's "ambient parts". Very "aquatic" abstract, "floating" music

Try Moongarden's The Gates of Omega. This is beautiful and relaxing. Haven't tried it to go to sleep to, but I was just reading this thread with it playing. It is really soothing...
