It's quite alright Scott:-)
I would've voted for Köhntarkösz anyway. I think it's the only MAGMA album that reflects the power of the band live successfully.

What happened to the debut ??? That's probably my fave, it just has much more variety and variation than the more focused works that came after. Still, 1001 Centigrades, Kohntarkosz and Uduwudu are close.

Udu Wudu for me. Wink MDK and Kohntarkosz are close (it's probably just a preference really.) Love Atahk too.

K.A. (Kohntarkosz Anteria)

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

As of now it has to be M.D.K. but I'm trying my best to expand my knowledge of their music because it truly fascinates me.
Man what an awesomely unique band

I don't get what all the appeal is with MDK ?? It's a decent listen, but so 'mekanikal' and overtly vocal it doesn't turn me on like most of their other albums. Admittedly, live versions of the piece work better than the studio version.
Suffice to say, it's not one of my favourite Zeuhl moments.

Exactly how I feel about M.D.K, but more than it being a decent album it's a defining moment for the band, so I get why it is being so highly appreciated.

Wurdah Itah crushes MDK
Much better production and melody than the repetitive boredom of side 2 of MDK
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Hi,

It's really hard to pick, as I find all of the albums very nice. Khon probably takes the cake as being the most recognizable piece in concert for them (for me!).
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
