Hatfield and the North will be on tour in September in England at
various places throughout the country. I do not have the full
tour listing, but I do know they will be playing Swindon Arts Centre
(just up the road from me) at the end of September and I plan on
going. I know there is also a gig in London somewhere.
Can somebody with the knowledge list the full tour? The lineup will be: Phil Miller (Guitar) Richard Sinclair (Bass/vocals) Pip Pyle (Drums) Alex McGuire (Keyboards) So no Dave Stewart or David Sinclair. Does anyone know what Alex McGuire is like? Anybody else thinking of going to these? James. |

I'm interested - having seen them last 30 years ago. But where do you find out?

I was there but not aware

I've yet to find a tour list, so if anyone can help, it'd be much appreciated.
James. |

I saw them back in march - McGuire was an excellent and quite daring
performer. He wasn't a Stewart clone, but he didn't make them sound
radically different either. Basically, the band were on form,
especially considering it was their first ever gig for so many years.

Thanks Trouserpress, I guess that confirms it for me then!
I plan to go with my brother (who probably isn't sure what he's expecting, but he does like John Coltrane and jazz/fusion in a way) and his friend, so it should be an interesting night. I'll try and review the gig, but I hardly know their music apart from the two tracks here on the archives and the National Health's _The Bryden 2-step (For Amphibians) Part 2_. But I do not want to miss out on potentially an excellent gig. James. |

Hi all! Saw the Hatfields at the Robin, Bilston, Wolverhampton on Sunday 25th Sept. Richard Sinclair was in good voice, although Phil Miller's guitar work wasn't as tight as on the albums. I've posted some pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/pebar/sets/952419/ The tour dates can be found on Richard Sinclair's website: www.richardsinclair.net, where the links page also has links for Hatfield and the North and lots of related musicians. Dates as follows:
September
25 : Robin 2 October 1: Club
Citta
