..at Londons Royal Albert Hall..

BBC article

A controversial orchestral film score by music legend Frank Zappa is to have its UK premiere as part of a major celebration of modern classical music.

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Excellent!  I love 200 Motels. Smile

Maybe they'll release the concert as a CD and/or DVD.  Sometime before I die.

Is it going to be part of their current reissue campaign?

I assume it's supposed to be, as the new reissues have release numbers on the spine of each album. Official release #13 is conspicuously missing, but I assume the ZFT is having issues getting the rights to the music, as it's under MGM, but isn't UME (Universal) part of MGM or vis versa? and if RYKO could release it, why can't UME?

I have to say the Zappa classical stuff I have heard hasn't impressed me much, but hey.  I'm a Debussy guy, so there you go.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
