Hi everyone. I'm from the United States. I'm obviously a fan of prog. I'm also a huge fan of jazz. I play bass and I am in college for art.

Among my favorite musicians/bands:
Van Der Graaf Generator, Magma, Gentle Giant, Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Rush, Jethro Tull, Gong, Comus, Caravan, Camel, Eloy, Peter Hammill, PFM, Mahavishnu Orchaestra, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Victor Wooten, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, John Patitucci, Dave Weckl, Michael Manring, John Zorn.

I also like a lot of more recent bands like:
The Flower Kings, Angagard, Marillion, Glass Hammer, Mostly Autumn, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Opeth, The Tangent, Spock's Beard, Dream Theater (really don't like their more recent material though), Porcupine Tree, Transatlantic, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani.

I could go on but that should give you an idea.

I've been visiting this site regularly for a couple years, and finally decided I should sign up.

Hello La Rossa! ... Welcome and hang on tight!

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Hi, La Rossa, I like your ID name. It reminds me of a very good band.

Welcome!
