Primus!  Heavily influenced by Rush and King Crimson, and no other modern bands sound like them (or would really want to for that matter...)

Les Claypool in general should be recognized for his all around musical contributions.

Muse are also very prog, but sound too much like a certain other band who shall remain nameless at the moment.

as for the rest on that list, I couldn't give half a crap.

Primus are the most un-compromising of those bands ... they don't care about conventions, they use many unusual elements in their music.

Primus or Muse.

And Muse don't sound like Radiohead, it's just that their snger Matt Bellamy has a style somewhat similar to Thom Yorke (he has admitted it himself) , but musically, they're not that close to each other IMO. Muse has a more "massive" sound really..

Primus, most definitely. Muse is borderline too. I see Radiohead here and Muse not....

Radiohead is a far more important band than Muse.  Muse is more like traditional prog, but Radiohead really reset the standard for 90's rock music with OK computer.  in fact, it was declared the most important album of the past 20 years by some marginally reputable music publication.  but in any case, OK Comp and Kid A are far more important and influential records than Absolution (not that Absolution isn't great).

I would go for Primus based on what i heard. Unfortunately it's not much, but i would classify that as prog.

Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

I've not heard any Primus or Muse, so I can't say, but I've never conbsidered any of the others to be especially prog...(although I love Styx: The Grand Illusion).
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I love Muse and don't really care whether they are prog or not. They kick serious butt which is the main thing.

I voted for Supertramp, as I know their output quite well and I find them to be very close to "traditional" prog - even though most of their songs are easier on the ear. Unfortunately I don't know enough about Primus to pass any sort of judgment on them, although I've told myself many times that I must check them out.
