Topic: Pinocchio vs the Little Mermaid Posted: October 11 2012 at 10:20 |
both films base the story of a character who dreams to become a human, ot a character in a movie who wants sombody to become a human and goes to many strides and tests to accomplish that, but luriking is danger, people who wants them bad, for their own profitt,
Pinocchio probably Disney animated studios greatest animated technological movie, and the Little Mermaid who launched the Disney Renessance, but who is yout favourite movie

I guess I'll go with the Little Mermaid. Disney really showed people how to do animated films after a couple of decades of stagnation and decline. Along with Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, they were set the gold standard for animation.
That being said, the early films are amazing as well, but Pinocchio has never been among my favorites. Sleeping Beauty and Snow White would have won my vote had they been listed.

Sleeping Beauty and Snow White is not about the dreams/wishes to becoming a human , but still very good movies

Yes they are. In Snow White, the reason the typically antisocial dwarves (really, Firefox spellcheck doesn't recognize dwarves as a word?) were so willing to take her in and be kind to her was a latent desire to be normal humans (I submit that the dwarves were a separate specie, not simply human little people.) In Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent curses Briar Rose because she was not invited to the christening. Why was she not invited? Look at the other guests. They are all normal humans. Maleficent has green skin and horns. She clearly feels persecuted due to her non-human appearance and the sense of alienation she feels causes her to lash out. Also, the Jungle Book, in which Louis Prima sings a song about wanting to be human.

The Little Mermaid.
I don't think there's a particular reason, but I've always hated Jiminy Cricket
