Hi. I like prog music, the stuff from 1967-1974. The rest of it is poser, with some exceptions. My favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Yes, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, ELP, Gentle Giant, Rush, Genesis, Cream, Black Sabbath, The Kinks, Steppenwolf, Jefferson Airplane, Hendrix, Queen, The Doors, Deep Purple, and The Beatles.

I hate rap, hip-hop, modern rock, or any just plain bad music.

I also listen to classical music. My favorite artist are Bach and Mahler.

I don't really care for Styx and Asia. They are way too commercialized and crappy.

Progressive Music is not meant to be commercialized.

Prog is not all about synthesizers. Its about how creative and intresting the music is.

Thanks and Goodbye.

Welcome to the forum the wizard...nice bands but most of them were commercial a lot ...but that doesn't mean that they were not good.

As in several hundred exceptions. Prog's about taking an open minded approach to music - maybe you should adopt one too?

Agreed ...

BTW: I notice from your signature that you're listening to Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante. Be sure to check out Secret Chiefs 3 as well, if you like that album ...

Welcome Wizard...I hope you enjoy the site..
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson
