Magna Carta Records

US label MAGNA CARTA RECORDS was formed back in 1989, and was among the relatively few labels actively releasing progressive rock during the 1990's, quickly broadening their scope to include progressive metal and virtous instrumentalists as well. Although they attained something of a negative reputation for the vast number of compilations they released over the years, they've been an important label who signed and released quite a few notable acts. Artists like Magellan, Shadow Gallery and Liquid Tension Experiment arguably among the most well regarded artists they have catered for. Still an active label, Magna Carta release a handful or so new albums each year these days.
