Topic: Where are they..? Posted: April 01 2012 at 03:13 |
.. the PA Trolls I mean; I'm talking the serious, pro Trolls that would invade a thread with something like "Keith Emerson would throw-up if he saw this place" or start a thread titled 'Why No One Here Knows Prog'. A few years back they were common and provided hours, sometimes days, of popcorn-munching fun, maybe a little baiting or flat out sniping of your own. Congrats to Admin for doing such a superb job but we miss our abusive and drunk mercenaries of chaos, don't we? Maybe someone could start a fake account and pretend to be inordinately angry over how Yes treated Wakeman or why Fripp is an idiot.

What? There are many threads here which sound like "Trolls on parade, one-two-three-CHAAAAARGE!" to my ears: - Do PA proggers have the right balance? - Is prog cosmetic? - How to convert someone to Prog - 90% of the polls (check the last one: "Ozzy vs. Geddy": what next? Napalm Death vs. Kate Bush???)
And I'm waiting for the Nth thread about "Women & Prog" (at least, there never have been threads about "Black People & Prog", "Asian People & Prog", "Jews & Prog", "Arabs & Prog"... but I'm always afraid they could appear one day).

^No. Just no.
No discussions on these subjects, that would just turn ugly and awkward.

There actually was a thread about black prog musicians a little while ago. Not disrespectful, but just trying to get a little recognition for racial diversity in a predominantly caucasian genre. I had a couple friends who tried to come on and troll this site a little while ago, but they got kicked off in about five minutes.
