Hello all progarchives members,

My name is Jacob (but I'm referred to as Jay a lot) and I'm 13 years old. I'll admit if it wasn't for my older brother, I wouldn't of been into Progressive rock or anything in the rock era. And honestly, I can't say I hate modern pop music and rap, stuff like that. It's just lost certain respect and aspect, but now I'm getting into a review here.

I have memorable bands that come to mind, my absolute favorite being Pink Floyd and my favorite album by them is Ummagumma which seems to be unpopular in sites that I've went, I think it's one of the most experimental album out there. Especially for a band as classic as Pink Floyd. Other then that I love this Progressive rock bands: Pavlov's Dog, Yes, UK, The Strawgs, The Beatles. (If you consider them a Progressive Rock sort of band, some people do.) and my favorite Progressive artist (besides Pink Floyd) is Frank Zappa.

Some other bands other then Prog bands is: Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and The Monkeys.

So yeah, looking forward to chatting on this site.

When I was 13 Ummagumma was my favourite Pink Floyd album too! (along with Animals). I guess it even introduced me to experimental music, and I thought it was the most far-out thing I heard, good times. Anyway, welcome to the site, hope you enjoy!
