 Topic: Any noise free jazz avant-rock players in Israel?

Well I know the chances of finding anyone are slim, but hell I wonder if there's any guys here (in Israel; preferably Tel Aviv and its surrounding area) who want to start some experimental music project or band of tuna?
I play bass btw. If you're a bassist, hell then it might be cool two have to bass players, so why not.

See, I wish I was in Israel  ... but, I suppose, that really depends on what the people, the weather, and the architecture are like.
I know this is off-topic, but have you ever tried playing two parts on bass at the same time or mixed them on a computer?

^ Honestly, I love Israel. Well most of all I love Tel Aviv, as it is probably my favorite city. The architecture? That's a tough question. On the one hand, pre WWII architecture is fantastic, but sadly most buildings from that era haven't been properly renovated, and that just leaves the city with a whole lot of potential. But stuff is happening, and buildings are being renovated, but it's a slow process. Of course, Tel Aviv, the oldest Hebrew city, is only 100 years old (a bit more now), so don't expect any incredibly old buildings. Still architecture wise, Tel Aviv does have what to offer.
The weather is probably the main reason I love this place so much. Coming back from New Jersey, where the winter's mo-f**king freezing and the summer's even hotter than the one's here- the weather's awesome. It does get hot and humid in the summer, but considering you're from Reno, I'm sure the heat is no problem for you (well maybe the humidity is I don't really know). The southern part is dessert climate, the northern climate is more forest-ish, but the temperatures all around don't vary by much (we are a small country after all).
The people- some suck, some don't. I can, in a way, say that Israelis tend to be more open, and honest. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it just comes off as aggressive or rude, but as a local, it's a much more open and comfortable society than the one in the NY/NJ area, where, as a foreigner, I felt as it was a bit to well-mannered, and too "politically correct". What can I say? I just like black humor.
That was probably longer than you expected.
But to the bass parts- I've recorded myself and overdubbed myself plenty of times. My bass style does tend to be almost "shred" in a way. So even if I have a bass line or groove, in my stuff it will usually be complex and hold some major part in the melody. So it's fairly easy for me to play around with dubbing, and add harmonies and chords and such.

Dude I listened to Pseudo/Sentai- freaking amazing, not even trying to be nice Hey, maybe in a few years I will be in NYC, who knows, then we shall JAM.
Until then I'm starting my own band. It'll be called "Ralph The Head Of Lettuce", and currently I have me on bass, a drummer, a growler/ clean vocalist, and a electronic/ sound manipulation guy. I might get another guy if I can find one, but this also works pretty well. Expect random black metal with sailor's tunes, and weird rock n roll songs, sometime in the future.

Ralph The Head of Lettuce... holy hell. This sounds like amazing music. I will IMPATIENTLY await it.
So is there any music yet? How about now? I am picturing Cardiacs (cause of the sailor's tunes thing) but then random black metal and odd Frank Zappa tunes like Joe's Garage or something haha
And thanks to both you guys for the kind words! We're recording an actual 'radio-quality' album this summer and when that comes out we are really going to push to get on the archives here. And when that happens I expect a soul-crushing critcal review. Haha

And yea its no biggie! It's a small world after all, and you will only spend a few ten thousand grand on plane tickets every year. Plus think of all the frequent flyer miles you could get! And all the free meals and amazing in-flight movies like Jack & Jill.

Yes there's about 3 songs finished and more in progress and right now I'm moving them to Guitar Pro so my non reading mates will be able to play along to it. It sounds like AIDS on Guitar Pro, but at least they'll learn it.
The main influences that I can trace, to the current stuff I'm writing, are mainly black metal a la Deathspell Omega, Cardiacs (duh!), a lot influence from NYC brutal prog outfit Pak, folk music, rock n roll and blues (though in a somewhat parody way). There are also hyper time changes, like Beefheart (particularly his track "Peon", which is a huge influence on me), and Zappa, and Residents, and straight up pop music, and more recently, some Bob Drake inspired stuff.
So yeah, like always, the composer (that's me!) finds it hard to define his own music. Boundary pushing? Yet to be seen!
And do let me now when your album is coming out, I will be eagerly awaiting :)

^ Haha- this sounds great dude! We shall keep in contact as it sounds like we have a lot of the same influences and we are both big on composing.
When I use Guitar Pro i set it to the piano sound only so it makes my music sound like early 20th century classical. I would love to trade some midi/guitar pro files sometime!

You guys should definitely get a room before this turns into babies and milk.
Seriously though - sounds like you all should trade a bit of music over the net and maybe work a bit together just for the heck of it. Just a suggestion though, but it seems like you are all pretty close to each other music-wise.
Oh and Frippism I read the title as Any NOISEFREE jazz avant-rock players in Israel.... No such thing as noise free musicians. Anyways good luck dude.
