FUSION ORCHESTRA 2 - the second incarnation of 1970s prog band Fusion Orchestra, whose EMI album Skeleton in Armour is still much sought after - are playing a small gig in Crawley, West Sussex, on Friday 21 October.
The band are appearing at The Wingspan Club, Crawley's well-known music venue regularly featuring rock and blues, at Whitworth Road, Crawley, West Sussex RH11 7SS. Tel: 01293 462383. (Situated behind the car park of Astral Towers, off the A23.) Doors open 7.30pm Tickets are available on the door at £10 each or £15 for two.
Co-formed by original Fusion Orchestra guitarist and founder member Colin Dawson, and keyboard player Ben Bell, the music of Fusion Orchestra 2 incorporates elements of rock, jazz and various other styles. The band brings to life the original Fusion Orchestra music and will be playing the main pieces from the Skeleton in Armour album as well as offering new songs in the band's style but with the fresh influences of the talented new line-up.
