Hello,
I've made THE LAND OF GHOSTS VOL. 1 album available for free download. This was originally a compilation of early, rare and pre-Karda Estra pieces originally released briefly in 2000. Available 256k mp3's from: http://www.gimmesound.com/kardaestra/index.cfm (please scroll down the tracks in the player to find these pieces). Available 320k mp3 / lossless for £1 min: http://kardaestra.bandcamp.com/album/the-land-of-ghosts-vol-1 The new album NEW WORLDS is still available for free / pay what you want at the same sites. I'm looking at making THE LAND OF GHOSTS VOL. 2 available soon-ish and thinking about compiling a VOL. 3 too. All the best, Richard |

To mark the 10th anniversary of my Karda Estra album
'Eve', I've made it available as a free download.
'Eve' is an instrumental concept album inspired by the short gothic novel The Future Eve, written in 1886 by Villiers de L'Isle Adam. The free 256k download (same quality as i-tunes/amazon) is available here: http://www.gimmesound.com/kardaestra/index.cfm (you'll need to scroll past the 'New Worlds' tracks in the player). There is also a 320k/lossless version at Bandcamp for £1 min: http://kardaestra.bandcamp.com/album/eve CD's are still available from the Karda Estra website but there's only a couple of boxes left (50 copies). After they are gone, the album will be purely digital. Best wishes, Richard Karda Estra - Eve Composed and performed by Richard Wileman (classical, electric and bass guitars, keyboards and percussion). with Ileesha Bailey (vocals), Helen Dearnley (violin ii, v & vi), Caron Hansford (oboe, cor anglais), Zoe King (flute, alto saxophone, clarinet) and Rachel Larkins (viola, violin i). Tracks: i. An Ordinary Mortal 4.33 ii. Andraiad 8.27 iii. The Pale Ray 3.28 iv. Super Electrical 4.40 v. Eve 7.37 vi. Sparks that Flash and Fall... 10.23 vii. Thoughts and Silences 3.23 |

The Karda Estra album 'Voivode Dracula' is now available
as a £1.00 download (320k mp3 or lossless formats) on Bandcamp:
http://kardaestra.bandcamp.com The album, inspired by the Bram Stoker novel 'Dracula', was originally released on CD in 2004. This album joins four other Karda Estra albums on Bandcamp, including the latest 'New Worlds' (featuring collaborations with Kavus Torabi, Stu Rowe, Don Falcone & Bridget Wishart) also at the low £1.00 price. More download albums will be released throughout the year. Voivode Dracula reviews: 'Wow' - The Dracula Society. 'This is 'Dracula' as a completely emotional experience without dialogue or sight, the whole vigorous concoction distilled as a potent concentrate ... This a remarkable work.' Chris White, Hairless Heart Herald 'Highly recommended yet again.' Sean Worrall, Organ 'a towering piece of music.' Kev Rowland, Feedback Best wishes, Richard ------------- www.kardaestra.co.uk |

Hello - here's an interuption to normal broadcasts
(again)...
I've made our 2000 album 'Thirteen From The Twenty First' available for download from Bandcamp (£1 min) this month. It's an early one and it's full of surrealism and soundtracks. I forgot to post last month that I also made 'Weird Tales' (2009) available too. A recent review described it as: '...full of a similar calm melancholy, and a weird beauty that offers to take the engaged listener far outside themself. It is an intelligent, masterfully crafted, and deeply moving record.' http://oliverarditi.com/2012/03/14/karda-estra-weird-tales/ That brings the downloads up to 7 available on Bandcamp (all for min £1 each). CD's are still available too. Bandcamp: http://kardaestra.bandcamp.com/ Best wishes, Richard |
