You should try Japanese band Mr. Sirius that incorporates symphonic into the style.

The new band Sanguine Hum was earlier named Antique Seeking Nuns. They made 3 EPs with strong bonds to the Canterbury scene, but don´t take my word for it - I´ve only read some reviews about them.

Hey - the first couple of tracks on the Canterbury mp3 player here at PA actually features Antique Seeking Nuns. I have two open tabs right now. On one I´m listening to ASN and the other I´m using as a chit-chat device. They are great, and I wonder why it took me so long to listen to them, when I could have done it right here...

I suggest Panzerpappa, on Koralrevens Klagensang there even is an appearance of Canterbury alumnus Richard Sinclair.

Went right past your post Bamsen. I think Antique Seeking Nuns are amazing and if you can track down all 3 of their EPs your a lucky man.

For a very pleasant record, try Thieves' Kitchen - The Water Road.

Doubt's Never Pet a Burning Dog released in 2010 mixes some canterbury sound into it's jazz / rock fusion. Richard Sinclair helps out on vocals on a couple of tracks too.
