So if you had to keep only 1 PFM album, or could only buy one, what would it be ?

In my book, has to be Per un Amico, and as odd or strange as it may seem, Cook (Live in the USA) would be close to the top as well.

The first one really shows what these guys could do in a studio, and the latter how incredible they were (and still are) live.

Storia di un Minuto, Chocolate Kings, The World, L'isola di Niente, Photos of Ghosts, are all classics as well.

Undergoing a bit of a Storia di un minuto obsession at the moment
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

L'Isola Di Niente, which is the best album I EVER heard, after Yes' Going For The One.

That album is SO cool! Italian prog to the max!

Chocolate Kings by a mile, for me. It's like mid-70s Genesis.

I just can't get into the first two albums, mopey-sounding minor key with flutes and cellos and Italian lyrics.

Per Un Amico, just the track Appena Un Po' would be enough to make it their best for me!
