Hello!

Hello guys,

I'm new here. Name's Jim, 20 years old from the Netherlands.
I thought I'd register here to help satisfy my ever increasing interest in progressive music.

Here's a few things about me.

I'm currently following a graphic design course at the Grafisch Lyceum in Utrecht.

Though my education is focussed around design, music's always been a big part of my life. My dad introduced me to a lot of old stuff like Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Alan Parsons Project and more. Progressive rock has since a few years really become my favourite genre. When I was younger I preferred somewhat less complicated music but I've really come to love progressive rock. About 5 years back I found out about Fruity Loops and started making music in it. It's really become one of my most prominent hobbies.

Some of my favourite prog bands include Porcupine Tree, Yes, King Crimson, UK, Genesis, Dream Theater, Tool, The Pineapple Thief, Guilt Machine, Symphony X and Pain of Salvation.

Some of my other hobbies are drawing, designing, playing guitar and watching movies.
