Just considering that in the past 10 years this band has 9 major original studio releases...three of which were double albums...

Is there a more productive band in prog??

I'm really enjoying the diversity of these guys.  Thanks for all the info.

If you consider all the side projects Roine and the boys have singlehandedly done the majority of, which outnumber their TFK output...  I'd have to say no, they are THE most productive band in prog.

I agree with ManOverboard.I think the FK's and it's members are some of the most prolific and productive musicians in prog at the moment.

Clearly they never heard the phrase 'quality over quantity'.

When I get 2 CDs for the price of one, and less than 50% is filler, that's quite ok for me.

Hello Mr Very Bad Man

... I think I recall you saying elsewhere that A Vampire's View was a reference to his never sleeping ... if so ... how very apt!

I was never really sure what I was waiting for. When the moment came I was looking away ......

Bands nowadays tend to take a lot more time between albums than they did back in the 60s and 70s. The Beatles went from "Revolver" to "Let It Be" in just 4 years. And as for Frank Zappa... let's not even get into that.

I haven't heard much of The Flower Kings, actually.

The crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe.

I recommend Big Puzzle, available as mp3 on progarchives. If you can make it past the first set of Stolt's vocals, you're in for a treat

Revolver= innovative, creative and ahead of it's time

Let It Be=good , solid, standard rock.

terrible example. They regressed with that one, innovatively speaking that is.

I really recommend Space Revolver (FK), if you like Revolver (Beatles).

Just ran across an old 8-Track tape of T.O.N.T.O.'s Expanding Head Band from the 70's. Pretty trippy stuff from early synth technology.  I've managed to convert some of the tunes to Mp3 sounds pretty good
