I'm aware this isn't the exact place one would post an ad, but what the hell - it's not like joinmyband has a large selection of people looking to do these sort of projects!

I'm an 18 year old female guitarist, been playing for 5 years, gigging for 2 in bands from hardcore/ambient/metal to ska punk and jazz. They were a good experience but definitely felt too rigid for me. Looking to start a proggy, jazzy, psychedelic, rock, metal and somewhat avant-garde band! Basically the kind of band that's sick of all others!

I'm very much open to all types of musicians - I would love this to be a very versatile project. Anyone, with a decent amount of experience interested, please don't hesitate to get back to me! I'm living in London, so musicians from there would be preferable. Also, the aim is not w**k all over the stage but to actually write memorable/meaningful songs (or instrumentals!), so if you're purely looking to show off, this isn't for you.

Influences range: King Crimson, The Mars Volta, Liquid Tension Experiment, Yes, John Coltrane, Ravi Shankar, Frank Zappa, Deftones, Daughters of Fission, Foo Fighters, Bob Dylan, Amon Tobin, Kyuss, Alice In Chains, Dream Theater, Mastodon, Rush, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, The Beatles, Finn Peters, Crosby Stills & Nash, Led Zeppelin, Cynic, The Doors, Down, Massive Attack, Pain of Salvation, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, NOMO, Sleepy Sun, Love, Nirvana.... and many many more...
